It is our mission to produce woodcarvings whose presence in the man-made landscape improves the view. We hope with this work to further the continuation of the craft by adhering to time-honored techniques. We make everything with a minimum of power tools, using edge tools to carve the wood as it has been done for centuries.
The carvings are a testament to a way of work that will survive for future generations.
I am committed to beauty in form and design. Wood carvings, even the outdoor ones, can last centuries. It would be a shame to make something of wood whose attraction fades, its image only representing the recent. Wood is part of human history, and the useful objects made from it possess the subtle beauty of serving well the designed purpose.
Our designs are hand drawn, but are then able to be scanned and e-mailed.
